Charkha Andolan Under Rural Development

We believe women can emerge as the pillars of the rural economy and can thereby contribute to create value towards national growth.

Since eternity, women have played a role more important than man and that is not exaggeration. There has been a selfless contribution by women. But in some parts of rural India, a woman’s time is considered to be more valuable at home and therefore their work has been shunned, neglected and taken for granted. Women have never received the respect, remuneration, acknowledgment and recognition for the work they do.

Charkha Andolan is an initiative towards supporting women’s productivity and strength and also to upgrade the standard of living in rural areas by generation of employment at grass root level.
